After two season of operation, the Brunch Club has experienced its fair share of highs and lows. We've sold out shows, had no-show shows, made new friends, said goodbye to old ones. It's all been part of the learning experience.
Speaking of learning experience, as we are about to embark on our third season, this much we have learned: we now know what the Brunch Club is.
Since spring 2015, we have been plagued by the same question: "What is the Brunch Club?" First of all, it is not a literal club that convenes for that magical meal between breakfast and lunch. We're merely inspired by those goofy conversations with hungover friends and hope to transpose that same feeling of cracking jokes with friends as you feebly try to gorge yourself back to full health to comedy shows, podcasts, videos, etc.
With this in mind, we will be celebrating having fun and being friends with the first annual Having Fun and Being Friends Awards at Casa del Popolo, August 23 (TONIGHT).
If you have ever let a "Ha" slip past your lips and thought, "well that was rather enjoyable," we are happy to tell you that you are member of our little Brunch Club--whether you like it or not--and you are cordially invited to come celebrate fun and friendship.
