Thumbs Up, Thumbs Down: Equality

THUMBS UP: Jennifer Lawrence is standing up against the gender wage gap in Hollywood

Academy-award winner Jennifer Lawrence penned an essay for Lena Dunham and Jenni Konner's oh-so-cool newsletter Lenny,  about how she really feels about being paid less than her male counterparts in Hollywood. In the unapologetic piece she admits "I’m over trying to find the 'adorable' way to state my opinion and still be likable! Fuck that. I don’t think I’ve ever worked for a man in charge who spent time contemplating what angle he should use to have his voice heard. It’s just heard."

We agree, Jen. Fuck that and thumbs up to you for telling it like it is.

THUMBS DOWN: T.I. doesn't think women can handle being President.

Um, not to be sexist but T.I. said some dumb shit on the radio Tuesday. According to him, women just don't have what it takes to be president. "Not to be sexist but I can't vote for the leader of the free world to be a woman".  Oh.. he didn't stop there. He went on to say "Just because every other position that exists, I think a woman could do well. But the president? It's kind of like, I just know that women make rash decisions emotionally - they make very permanent, cemented decisions - and then later, it's kind of like it didn't happen or they didn't mean for it to happen."

Shortly after he said it (and no doubt with encouragement from his publicist) T.I. took to Twitter to apologize.

Not forgiven, buddy. Try harder!
