Thumbs Up, P.K. Subban! Thumbs Down, Steve Rannazzisi

THUMBS UP to hockey superstar and all round great guy P.K. Subban!

Everyone’s favorite Montreal Canadian, P.K. Subban is donating $10M to the Montreal Children’s Hopsital over the next 7 years. The hospital thanked him by naming it’s atrium in honor of the Habs hero. According to the CBC, this cash money will be used in part for a fund called P.K.'s Helping Hands, which will help families struggling financially with a child's illness.

"Montreal has become my second home," said Subban, who was born in Toronto. "I hope to remain here, here in Montreal, here in Quebec, for a very, very long time."

THUMBS DOWN to comedian and The League star, Steve Rannazzisi who lied about escaping the World Trade Centre on 9/11.

Steve? What were you thinking? In several interviews over the last decade, including Marc Maron’s WTF podcast and Sklarbro Country Podcast with the Sklar brothers, Rannazzisi has told the story of how he was working for Merrill Lynch in the World Trade Centre on 9/11 when the attack hit.  Turns out that wasn’t true. In a statement issued by his publicist he admitted that “[he] was not at the Trade Centre on that day… I don’t know why I said this. This was inexcusable. I am truly, truly sorry.” Truly, truly disappointing stuff, dude.

We're still going watch the final season of The League because it's one of the funniest things on TV right now but, it's going to take a while for the ugliness of this lie to wear off.
